Green coffee bean extract is a hot topic right now. Natural weight loss supplements are popular in general, but there seems to be something special attracting a lot of attention to green coffee. So understandably, there are many companies scrambling to produce their very own version and brand of it, including Nature’s Best Verdesse Tablets.

At first glance, you probably think it’s a good product that you can trust. Pretty much everyone has heard of Nature’s Best, so the fact that they’re offering it puts a warm fuzzy in your tummy right from the get-go. However, like they say, you can’t always judge a book by its cover. We’ve taken a bit of time to look into it for you and let’s just say this… Do you really want to risk your money on a “what-if”?

No Chlorogenic Acid Found

“Look for a capsule that contains at least 45% chlorogenic acid” ~ Dr. Oz

The first thing I always do when looking at a green coffee extract is to look and see that it has the minimum recommended amount of chlorogenic acid. In the case of Verdesse tablets, I don’t see any mention of chlorogenic acid. That right there tells me this is a no-go. Chlorogenic acid is the key to losing weight with green coffeee extract and if you don’t have at least 45% then don’t waste your money on it. Plain and simple. But let’s keep looking, shall we?

Puny Amounts of GCA

“If you don’t see Svetol or GCA, consider another choice” ~ Dr. Oz

Svetol or Green Coffee Antixoidant (GCA) is the next thing that I look for. In this case, green coffee extract is listed clearly in the ingredients – but as the second ingredient behind Calcium Carbonate!. However, if you know anything about labels, you know that they’re listed in order from the most to the least.

So Verdesse Tablets are mostly made up of calcium carbonate. Green coffee extract is listed as the second ingredient. It also says that you’re getting 400mg per serving, which is two capsules.  So, its only 200mg per capsule. That’s a very puny amount. But to make it even worse, there’s no way of knowing exactly how much green coffee extract you get.

Their Claim to Fame? A SINGLE Person’s Opinion

Everyone seems to have one. Verdesse’s claim to fame that they brag about is getting a 9/10 vote and rated the best coffee extract from The Daily Mirror. But if you actually look at the clipping from it, this “vote” came from one single individual. I hardly consider that proof that they’re effective.

Whichever way you look at it, it does not appear to be a very high quality product. If a survey or study of some kind was done on this particular brand of green coffee extract then sure, flaunt it. But one person? Seems far stretched to make themselves look good to me.

  • No chlorogenic acid?
  • Unknown amounts of GCA
  • Holding on to a single testimonial for ‘proof’?

Choosing A Supplier

Choosing the right green coffee extract is an important decision, as they’re all far from being created equal. Make sure you know who you’re buying from and what you’re buying. Take the time to make sure it meets quality standards so you don’t waste your money an just another diet scam. In all our research, the best green coffee bean extract we’ve found is this one.

svetol green coffee

As recommended by Dr Oz, it:

  • contains Svetol
  • completely natural with no filler ingredients
  • Has 50% Chlorogenic Acids
  • Is proven to be effective

The Good News

In the world of natural weight-loss supplements there is never a lack of new products. When you’ve been around as long as we have, you’ve seen your fair share of them. Most of the products out there are a mix of good and bad, and Phytogenix Ultimate Green Coffee Bean is one such product.

This product does have at least 45% chlorogenic acid and, uses of SVETOL as recommended by Dr. Oz on his popular TV show on September 10, 2012.

The Bad News

You’re Paying For TONS of Useless Crap

Unfortunately, Phytogenix Ultimate has a LOT of filler ingredients. With each one, the quality of a “natural” weight loss supplement goes down a little bit more. Of course, they don’t show you all this right up and front. You have to dig for it. So what fillers, binders and additives have been used in the manufacturing of this product?

We definitely aren’t the only ones a little curious about that. When a company doesn’t want you to see a copy of the real product label that should be an immediate red flag for serious consumers concerned about their health.

Do we not have the right to see exactly what we’re buying when we buy these products without exhaustive research? They were kind enough to tell us that this product is “quality you can trust”, but they clearly want us to just take their word for it! With so many products out there, how do they expect us to do any product comparison?

UPDATE: Finally, I found some information about what you’re buying when you buy Phytogenix Ultimate green coffee. It’s not good news, though, that’s for sure. To find this information you have to go into a box toward the bottom of the page and scroll all the way down.

First of all, this extract has merely 200mg. That’s an incredibly low amount. But what’s worse is the paragraph of all the extra filler ingredients. Look at all this!!

Other Ingredients:  Ultimate Fat Burner – Microcrystalline Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate
Dihydrate, Croscarmellose Sodium,
Stearic Acid, Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide,
Hypromellose, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, Polyethylene Glycol, Magnesium Silicate.
Ultimate Green Coffee Bean -Microcrystalline Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate, Coating
(Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Triacetin, Mineral oil, Titatnium Dioxide, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Talc),
Silica. croscarmellose Sodium, Stearic Acid, Magnesium Stearate.

Extremely Weak Pills: Only 200mg!

When you look closely at the portions of the bottle that you can see in the advertisements, you’ll see that there are 42 caplets per bottle. Do the math with their dosage guide and you’ll see you’re not getting very much at all. It doesn’t even take a calculator, folks, to do that easy division. Once you’ve taken the product for the first week, at their recommended dosage each bottle of 42 400 mg caplets will last you one whopping week. Let me say that again – 1 week. So, for the 60 days they recommend, you’ll need to stock up on almost 9 bottles of the stuff. If you plan to order Phytogenix Ultimate Green Coffee Bean, clear out some space in your cupboard – you’re going to need it.

It may seem cheap, but one bottle will only last ONE WEEK

Conclusion – 2 thumbs down

Phytogenix gets it right in one area – their product does contain Svetol and 45% chlorogenic acid. Those are two of the most important things I always look for in a green coffee bean extract. But folks, this is NOT one that I recommend. There’s no way in God’s green world that I’d recommend anything that has many extra ingredients. The point of this kind of weight loss supplement is 1.) that it’s NATURAL and 2.) that it’s effective. Then when you consider the fact the pills are less than 1/2 the usual size it quickly get a big red X.
